Exhibition from 20 November 2025 to 16 January 2026 | House of History Darmstadt

On 19 November 2025, the exhibition will open at 6 p.m. with the book presentation “Philosophie als Kritik und Lebenspraxis”. The exhibition highlights important aspects of Gernot Böhme's philosophical thinking and research and presents previously unknown evidence from his life. These are part of Gernot Böhme's scientific and private estate, which is kept in the Historical Archive of the TU Darmstadt.

Since 2021, the ULB has been supporting the open access journal KorDaF – Korpora Deutsch als Fremdsprache as part of its TUjournals service.

The full-text repository of TU Darmstadt (TUprints) will be migrated to new software on 2025-11-03. The previously used system will be replaced by DSpace software.

Exhibition from 13 October to 7 November 2025 | ULB Schloss

Twelve wall panels illustrate the anti-fascist, anti-racist and self-organised resistance of migrants, refugees and young people in the 1990s in the Hamburg area and beyond.

Because of an internal university event on Thursday, 16 October in the foyer of the “Hörsaal- und Medienzentrum” the library ULB Lichtwiese will already close at 5pm.

Due to the completion of the scaffolding in the atrium, access via the stair tower from the 3rd to the 4th floor is currently not possible.

Training for efficient and sustainable research data management

The Historical Archives will be closed from 3 October to 19 October 2025, during which time no enquiries will be answered and no advice will be given to users.

On Friday 2025-09-26, the Information & Service counters at all three ULB locations will only be open from 10:30am due to an internal event.

From 2025-09-22 there may be temporary Wi-Fi outages at the ULB Stadtmitte due to the renewal of the Wi-Fi access points.
