There is no medium in engineering for discussing issues of research data. This gap will be closed in 2021 with the “Journal of Research Data in Engineering Science”.

ULB stays open during Lockdown

The ULB stays open in spite of the „hard lockdown“ starting on 16 December 2020. Till 23 December you can still borrow, look up and return media at both locations during the current opening hours . Seating is not available. Please learn and work at home and make use of our electronic media.

Digitization of Darmstädter Tagblatt (1740-1986)

The ULB, together with the Institute for Language and Literature at the TU Darmstadt, has started to digitize the local newspaper of Darmstadt. In two project phases the Darmstädter Tagblatt will be made available for research and the public. Project “Darmstädter Tagblatt”

Christmas Break

This year all library locations will be closed for the public between Christmas an New Year. No overdue fines will occure for medias which expires during the closure. Media order during closure is not possible. Enquiries by e-mail will be processed from 28.12. to 30.12. between 9am and 4pm. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!

No seating at ULB until further notice

According to the political decisions of the National and Federal Governments to fight the Corona pandemic, the TU Darmstadt has implemented new regulations. The TU Presidium has stipulated that the library is not allowed to provide seating any more. Please learn and work at home.

Remote Access to German newspapers F.A.Z and Frankfurter Rundschau

Starting now the ULB has licensed remote access to all articles from the German newspapers F.A.Z. (1993 onwards) and Frankfurter Rundschau (1995 onwards).

ULB buys censured Books from Hongkong
2020/11/20
The extinction of critcal literature from libraries in Hongkong subsequently to the new Chinese Safety Act calls democratic rights into question. Therefore, the ULB Darmstadt has decided to buy almost all of these banned or forbidden books to make them accessible for free.

Shipping of Athene-Card
