The ULB at Stadtmitte and the Branch Library at Campus Lichtwiese will be closed between Christmas and the New Year’s Day. At 2 January 2023 the ULB Stadtmitte will open again for the public wheras all other departments of the University will extend their Christmas break till 8 January 2023. We wish all our visitors a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year!

The new English-language open access journal “ing.grid” is now open for submissions. The main topic of the journal is research data management in engineering according to the FAIR principles.

The ULB Darmstadt has licenced a high number of standards (DIN, VDI, ISO, …) in electronic form. So far these were offered via the database Perinorm which will soon be replaced by the database Nautos.

Read digital texts and also browse and analyze them! The new full text service of our Centre for Digital Editions (ZEiD) supports you in that. All your scientific sources can be processed efficiently for your research.

On Tuesday 6 December between 7am and 12pm scheduled maintenance work will be carried out on TUbama (TU Bachelor and Master Theses) . Therefore, the Eprints Archive TUprints will not be available during this period.

Vitrine Exhibition November 22 to December 23

Under the motto “More than just reading: the diversity of the pop-up universe”, a selection from our pop-up book collection will be exhibited in the showcases of the textbook collection.

On 30 November you will have the opportunity to spend a full day learning, sharing ideas and experiences on Open Science with other researchers.

The new issue of the open access journal Zeitschrift für Interkulturellen Fremdsprachenunterricht (ZIF) with the main topic “Unterricht in der Herkunftssprache” (Teaching in the Language of Origin) is now online.

On 24 November 2022 from 2pm to 3pm, the Open Access Talk “Your article or book in gold or green OA: Tips for OA publishing (not only) in the humanities” will take place online.

Citavi Web allows you to use the literature management programme Citavi without installing the desktop-version which is only available for Windows. By this, Citavi Web may be used now directly on any Mac. The only tools needed are a modern browser, MS Word for Windows or Mac, and a stable internet connection.
