On 1 August 2024 the new cost-sharing model for articles in hybrid journals under the DEAL contracts with Elsevier, Springer Nature and Wiley started at TU Darmstadt. The acceptance date is the decisive factor.

The annual report for 2023 has been published. The ULB gives an account of the use of the funds entrusted to it.

ing.grid is proud to have been shortlisted for the first edition of the Enter Award, a prize for Open Access initiatives in Germany. ing.grid is technically supported by the ULB and is part of the “TUjournals” service for Diamond Open Access journals.

During the Heinerfest, the ULB Schloss will close at 5pm on 04, 05 and 08 July. The other locations will remain open as usual.

“forTEXT” publishes first Call for Papers: “Text annotation in university teaching” – submissions until 30 September 2024. The new German open access journal “forTEXT” expands the “forTEXT Portal” project with a free publication platform.

Europe has voted on Sunday evening, 9 June. The first projections and Europe-wide forecasts of the distribution of seats will be announced late on the evening of the election and will be continuously updated in the following days.
