Exhibiton from 21 March to 18 June

For the first time the ULB Stadtmitte presents an exhibition on two floors. On the ground floor the history of one hundred years Academic Flying Group Darmstadt (Akaflieg) is highlighted. In the basement selected exhibits show the exciting live of its prominent member Johannes Nehring.

The transdisciplinary project BioDivKultur, the IANUS Peacelab, and the Darmstadt Digital Archive of Natural History (DiNArDa) invite for the hackaton „At Eye Level – for a biodivers and peaceful cohabitation of humans and insects“ from 5 to 7 Mai 2023 at LABspace, Hilpertstr. 31, Darmstadt.

Each term the ULB Stadtmitte changes its opening hours according to the exam periods. From 1 April to 31 May the library opens daily from 8 am to 1 am.

The Open Access Talk “Die Qual der Wahl – wie finde ich ein passendes Open-Access-Journal” will take place online on 23 March 23 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

The charges for some library services have changed on 23. February.

This week is International Women's Day and Equal Pay Day. Every year since 1911, women around the world have brought gender equality to public attention on International Women's Day.

You can now also download the ULB Info flyers via QR code at the “Service & Information” counters. This is to reduce the amount of printed flyers.

As of January 1, 2023 the ULB is participating in the Read & Publish Open Access Initiative of the Company of Biologists.

The service and information desk at the ULB Stadtmitte will only be open until 6 pm on 19 February.

According to the motto „together alone“, the digital long night of writing takes place simultaneously on 2 March 2023 in the libraries and writings centres of the technical universities in Darmstadt, Dresden, and Stuttgart.
