Students of TU Darmstadt can publish their bachelor or master theses on the Open Access repository TUprints if one of the reviewers or a member of the current examination board agrees. According to section 23 (8) of the Allgemeine Prüfungsbestimmungen (APB, General Examination Regulations), there is no fundamental legal claim to the publication of a thesis.

Thesis checklist

  1. Login to TUprints.
  2. Upload file and enter metadata.
  3. Transfer the Contract for the publication of digital documents on TUprints.
  4. Publication by ULB.
  5. Inclusion in the library catalogue increases visibility in the Internet.

Thesis signature service

The signature service is aimed at students whose theses are intended for OA publication. Students who would like to publish their theses on TUprints can request the signature service informally by . As soon as the “contract for the publication of digital documents on TUprints” is available, the Digital Publishing team will obtain the required signature from the Examination Board.
