The Coscine research data management platform from RWTH Aachen University is to be used here, utilising the IKP's own storage. This pilot serves to evaluate the further use of Coscine at TU Darmstadt.

Coscine was developed by RWTH Aachen University and is now used throughout North Rhine-Westphalia. There is a close connection between Coscine and two projects in which the ULB Darmstadt plays a leading role:

Project results from the DFG project AIMS (Anwendungpplication of Interoperable Metadata Standards) are used in Coscine at a central location (metadata management).

Coscine is also being developed and used as part of the NFDI4ING consortium (National Research Data Infrastructure for Engineering Sciences).
