Open Access Publishing at the Technical University of Darmstadt 2021/2022

Technische Universität Darmstadt establishes a publishing fund in order to assist its members in the publication of scientific articles in open access journals. The combination of an initial funding by the DFG with its own resources from the university’s and the library’s budget creates a permanent infrastructure for financing publication costs at the TU Darmstadt. Fees for the publication of scientific papers in quality-controlled, genuine open access journals can be financed from the fund. The project is part of other initiatives and measures at the university, which support and ensure the transformation of the academic publishing culture to an open access model organizationally as well as technically and economically.
