Scanning and Digitising

The library offers reproduction and storage options so members can also make use of ULB's many and varied holdings at home as well. Scanning is a service in which short passages of a work can be made available as a scanned copy. More extensive digitisation orders or digital copies of historical holdings can be requested at the digitisation centre.

Scanning, digitising, printing and storing

You can make your own digital copies free of charge using reflected light scanners in the library rooms at all of the locations. The scans can be saved on a USB stick and sent by email.

With the help of the scan tents, you can scan book pages and documents free of charge on your own smartphone.

You can create PDF files on our research PCs using the print function.

You can download files onto a USB data carrier from most of the PCs at ULB.

Reader scanners can be used to re-enlarge microfilms and microfiches and save them as scans on a USB data carrier. There are two devices at ULB Stadtmitte.
