OA Publishing (not only) in the Humanities

2022/11/10

On 24 November 2022 from 2pm to 3pm, the Open Access Talk “Your article or book in gold or green OA: Tips for OA publishing (not only) in the humanities” will take place online.

Scholars who want to or have to (due to funding requirements) publish their next publication(s) Open Access are often faced with countless questions. Dr. Viola Voß, subject specialist for modern philologies and part of the Open Access team at ULB Münster, will address these questions, among others, in her lecture:

  • Where can I find contacts on the subject of Open Access?
  • How do I choose a journal or a publisher?
  • What funding options are there for OA publications that are subject to a fee?
  • What should I actually pay for?
  • What should I look out for in contracts?
  • Why is CC BY perhaps better than CC BY-NC-ND?
  • When can “green” OA be an alternative?

Scientists, students, especially from the humanities, and all other interested parties are invited. After a half-hour presentation, participants may discuss questions.

The Open Access Talks are offered by the BMBF-funded project open-access.network. Once a month, the talks focus on different topics related to Open Access.

ULB Darmstadt will be happy to inform you about your options for first and secondary publication, as well as about the existing funding opportunities at TU Darmstadt. For questions or online advice, please contact the .
