The ULB Darmstadt search portal consists of three areas:

1. Books & more

This is where you can search our online catalogue and the retro catalogue. You will find the holdings of ULB Darmstadt with the locations ULB Stadtmitte, ULB Lichtwiese, ULB Schloss and the handsets of the TU Darmstadt institutes. Books and electronic media are listed, as are magazines and newspapers, but not usually any individual articles from them.

2. Articles & more

This searches what is known as a Discovery Index. “Articles & more” contains essays and articles from selected magazines and databases.

Access to the full texts depends on whether ULB has purchased or licensed them. An additional search in a specialist database (DBIS: Database Information System) is recommended to complete your literary research.

3. User account

Your personal details, reservations, orders and loans are stored here. You have the option of extending your borrowed media provided they have not been reserved. You can also access your interlibrary loan account here and check any fees that may have been incurred. And you can save your searches and manage your watch lists.
