New TUfind interface

On 11 March, TUfind will be converted to a new responsive, search interface. It automatically adapts to the respective end device in use (smartphone, tablet, PC) and offers further optimisations:

  • The search in the Article & more is also available via smartphone.
  • In the standard search, besides the ´all fields´ search by default, you can also select between title, author or keyword.
  • In the Advanced search in Books & more, you can create search groups and build more complex Boolean search queries.
  • Five citation styles are available instead of just two.
  • The typeface has been optimised.
  • In the library account, the Change password function is prominent and therefore easier to find.
  • The Add to favourites is also available on mobile devices.

The previous PUMA-based Favourites list cannot be transferred automatically. We therefore recommend you export your favourites to a reference management programme such as Citavi or Zotero. Access to the previous Favourites list is still possible only for about 3 months.

You can also export Favourites list from PUMA and then create a new one in TUfind.

Login via PUMA

Login with Library ID, not as a group

→ You will then be directed to the familiar login screen of your institution. Log in with your library ID.

My Favourites

You can find your saved titles under the menu item ´myPUMA´, ´my posts´ in the column ´Publications´.

Export/Save

In the selection for all publications in the ´Publications´ line, click on the arrow symbol ´Export options for displayed posts´ on the far right and then select ´more …´.

If you don’t use the ´more …´ option and select a format beforehand, only the titles of the displayed page (up to 20) will be exported, not the complete list!

Select the desired format and the number of posts on the export page.

If you don´t use the reference management programme, you can save the data by selecting the ´BibTeX´ format, copy the exported titles and save them in a text processing file.

Find titles quickly in the new HDS

You can quickly find individual titles in the new HDS by using the title ID (uniqueid).

Titles that have been deleted from the inventory or are no longer available via EDS will not be found!

Example Catalogue – Title

uniqueid = {HEB354400185}, → Search in Catalogue (all fields): HEB354400185

Example EDS-Title

uniqueid = {edseee.9373372|edseee}, → Search in ´Article & more´ (all fields)

If there are no results with search by ID, we suggest searching by title.

Unfortunately, we cannot only introduce new things, but must also separate ourselves from what we are used to: Therefore, here is the announcement that the online catalogue (OPAC) will have to be discontinued in the medium term.
