The Kultur-einer-Digitalstadt e.V. association is launching the new art and event series „ARTvorORT“ in the ULB Darmstadt. On April 12, the exhibition “AlgorithmicYou” opens on the first floor of the ULB Stadtmitte.
In “AlgorithmicYou”, the artist group DensityDesign, from the University of Politecnico Milano, shows the traces left behind by digital platforms in over 30 installations – fleeting images, text carriers, tables with medical records etc. These are made tangible through the design of infopoetries.
They have recaptured moments from their lives that are automatically collected about them via digital platforms. The exhibition, under the sponsorship of the Italian Consulate General, is supported by TU Darmstadt.
The exhibition is a part of ARTvorORT initiative for the project “Poetry Of Data – A Human Reappropriation”. This combines topics of the digital in a digital city with art and people. The initiatives are intended to open the doors to a world in which data serves not only as a resource for surveillance and organization, but also as a source of inspiration and creation.

The exhibition is opened at 12. April 2024 at 6.00 p.m. in the lecture room of ULB Darmstadt.
