In recent years, different data laws have been discussed at both European and national level. The aim of the European data strategy is to promote access to and use of data across sectors, as the European data economy is estimated to be worth 829 billion euros by 2025. Stefanie Fuchsloch from the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) Head Office in Karlsruhe will therefore present a look at a selection of different data laws that are being discussed or are already in force, and consider data access for research in terms of opportunities and challenges.

Speaker: Stefanie Fuchsloch (NFDI Head Office in Karlsruhe)

Chair: Dr. Ortrun Brand, HeFDI Coordination Team, Philipps-University of Marburg
