Kadi4Mat is a virtual research environment that supports the management of digital research data. It consists of a repository for storing data from ongoing research projects and an electronic laboratory notebook for research documentation.

The tool was originally developed in the context of materials science, but has grown beyond that discipline and can be used across a wide range of fields to help digitally document and automate research processes.

Kadi4Mat has recently been made available as a service to all researchers at TU Darmstadt. You can log in to the Kadi4Mat service directly with your TU ID. This is made possible by the NFDI4ING consortium, through which the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) offers the tool to members of other universities.

In addition to Kadi4Mat, a centrally hosted instance of the electronic laboratory notebook eLabFTW is also available at TU Darmstadt.
